DepEd Bicol continues to advance inclusive education through the implementation of the Madrasah Education Program across all 13 Schools Division Offices (SDOs) in the region.
DepEd Bicol Madrasah Education Coordinator Sheila Bulawan shared with BicoldotPH the significant strides made under the program, particularly through the ALIVE (Arabic Language and Islamic Values Education) component. Trained Asatidz deliver instruction in Arabic and Islamic values integrated with the K to 12 curriculum.
Key activities such as the annual Musabaqah, regional training of Asatid, and curriculum enhancement workshops have strengthened the program’s impact.
“Madrasah education promotes inclusivity while nurturing the learners’ cultural and spiritual identity,” Bulawan said.
DepEd Bicol remains committed to providing quality, culture-sensitive education for all.
